Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio Books, etc. from MP3 Player
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal
Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on
"Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that
you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want,
release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now your mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT DELETE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER.

My IDJ2 is not installing everything from my IPOD. I have checked my ipod and everything is on there however the IDJ2 is not showing up all my songs. Every playlist is missing songs and they are not...

it maybe due to protected files. some songs (files) are classified protected.. this very frustrating problem is the birth child of .... you guessed it ...apple. eg i have 2250 files on my ipod but can only play around 1900 on the idj2. i hope this helps

Video won't work using the s-video connector.

Which iPod model are you using? Not all iPod models support video with the iDJ2. Check the iPod compatibility matrix document at www.numark.com/idj2 to see if your model is supported.

My ipod touch does not work if i plug it into the dock or even the USB ports... WHY??

If it is a 2nd Generation iPod Touch it is not supported for use with the idj2. Look at http://www.numark.com/idj2 and review the iPod Compatibility Matrix for further info.

How to download firmware and librarian files to my idj2

The current firmware available is version v1.13 which is located at http://www.numark.com/idj2 . It also has Librarian v1.5 included with it.

Download the firmware to your PC and then unzip it to your desktop where you can retrieve it easily.

Transfer the firmware file to the handy little 128mb thumb drive that came with the idj2. (I moved all of the files from the thumb drive on to my PC so the firmware file was the only file on my thumb drive to avoid any computer related confusion)

Making sure your idj2 is powered "OFF" insert the thumb drive containing firmware v1.13 into one of the rear USB ports. Make sure this is the only thing plugged into the idj2 at this time(no keyboard, ect)

Turn on the idj2 on. You will see a message that says the machine is checking the firmware.(I don't have the system in front of me right now but that is roughly what it says) It will take a few minutes and the system will update to the new firmware.

My IDJ2 is unstable

Hi,
not sure what it can be, but if you used librarian before, be sure that you are running librarian 1.50 with fw 1.09(a). If you have created a library with 1,33, then you have to create the library again with the 1.50 version. Don't use USB powered drives. Mostly they overload the USB port, with al sorts of weird problems. If you have one of these, use an USB powered hub to remove the load of the IDJ2 port. You could test with an USB stick, for a few hours..

regards,
Jack.
