Question about Televison & Video
The TV is in protect mode. It means that an internal problem is detected by the main controller board. When this happen the PSU is forced to stand by.
The problem is often a defective PSU, but the TV must be tested by a technician before replacing parts.
If the TV went in standby and does not wake up, but stays in standby with diagnostic light blinking, then the TV has on protect mode after detecting a malfunction.
When this happens higher voltages from PSU (this power supply operates at different voltages) are shut down to prevent further damage.
Before calling support ensure that you have followed the indications here:Why my TV does not start up and remains in standby.
Troubleshooting basically consists in leaving the TV unplugged to drain power completely and discharge internal circuits.
The best way to contact an authorized technician is by ringing the number listed on the owners manual. Alternatively try Fixya directory here:Fixya directory- Consumer Products Repair
Try first the troubleshooting proposed in link above. If that does not work, ring manufacturer service number.
Regarding the repair cost, this depends on the part that is defective. A common fault is the power supply, but as said this is not necessarily the problem.
For parts try Partstore or ShopJimmy.
