Question about Computers & Internet

Open Question

I have an ASUS P4SP-MX-UAYZ with a not working ALC1888 audio device. I downloaded a driver and installed it but as the process progresses it ended up restarting like you just pushed the reset button. What seems to be the problem? Hope you could be able to resolve my problem. Thanks and more power.

SOURCE: Impossible to install driver for Realtek High Definition 1.81

Hi there,
Since after installing the Service Pack your drivers are update. Now you can not use the previous one.

Since after many trial, your driver is now got corrupt. I will suggest you to Roll Back the System from the Service pack 3 to Service Pack 2. And then go for it.

Otherwise use the Repair window method and then reinstall the original drivers.

Let me know the issue after this.

Try disabling/re-enabling the device and/or reinstalling the driver.

I get error messages in blue and white writng after installing AC'97 audio driver, pls can anyone help me resolve the problem? Its an ASUS P4SP-MX MBoard.

Hello...
1 - r u facing NO Audio/Sound issue...?
2 - is ur Volume Control not responding ?
3 - is ur Sound and Audio Device in Control Panel Grayed out ?
4 - Do u get a msg "No Active Mixer Devices Installed....when u try to open Volume Ctrl etc etc ?

if ur ans to any one of them is Yes...then u are being spammed by Microsoft....ur Sound Control IRQ is being frozen by a recent update from Microsoft....and no file update or any sound driver update can fix it, neither Microsoft is issuing any patch to fix it….
Full solution is available in my website (Support page)...it's quite simple process to fix it, and I am not charging any money, just trying to do some service.
