It sounds like the power supply board has some bad capacitors that need to be replaced. Samsung is covering the cost to repair this problem on some models. You can call 1-800-samsung to find out if your unit is covered.

the defective caps in general will be blown upwards there heads will not be flat the value will be indicated on the defective capaciter you must respect polarity .

it is a known fault mine was the same the tv was 3-4 years old and samsung fixed for free they will do the same for you give them a call
