'F11' for Whirlpool decodes as 'communications error' which sounds major BUT is not uncommon in these machines and is often caused by poor contact between plugs/ cables and the control PC, just needing re-seating- by an engineer with a bit of luck ;-0(
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

F11 is the code for a communication error between the CCU and motor control unit. sometimes just re-seating the connectors on the CCU cures it. if not, odds are it is a faulty CCU and needs to be replaced.
The F11 error code is a communication failure between the 2 control
boards. This includes both boards & the wiring harness as potential
defective components. However, this is usually the main machine control
board that needs replaced.
F11 is a serial communication error. Communication between the main board and the motor control board is not being sent correctly. This could be a bad main board, motor control board or motor itself. The testing can get pretty involved. Try putting the machine in a self test mode and see if the error clears. Press Cancel, then by pressing the drain spin button once on the left side then move to the spin speed button the the right. Press this button until no-spin lights. Press the pre-wash button 4 times. C00 should appear in the display. Let it run it's tests, there will be 8 of them and end up on C08. If this doesn't work, it's best you wait for the service technician.
Jake at applianceblog says that the F11 is a "Serial Communication Error"
Communication between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the Motor Control Unit (MCU) cannot be sent correctly.
Check for: Check Wire Harness connectors to the MCU, the motor, and Central Control Unit (CCU) Check the Drive system for any worn or failed components Check MCU Check CCU Check Motor Check Wire Harness
If all the connections look fine , then its possible the CCU is reading wrong and will need to be changed.
