Possible fault in the loading mechanism of the player, it can be failure of the belt or the gears or the loading motor, loading motor drive IC or the trigger from the main control processor.
You might have to check the loading motor voltages from the processor , the main voltages to the drive .Check manually the mechanism to confirm that it moves freely.

Replace cd player

There are two ways to open the CD/DVD drive door if the button just below the drive tray does not work.
Go to My Computer and right click on the drive and click on Eject.
If this does not work then you can manually open the CD/DVD drive tray by -
Straighten a paper clip and gently insert it into a tiny hole below the drive tray next to the Eject button. Push the paper clip gently until the drive tray pops out, then pull the tray until it is fully out, then you can remove the CD/DVD disc.
If you still having problem opening with the Eject button, then the CD/DVD drive is faulty and needs replacing.

My dvd will not open

All CD and DVD players have a small hole on the tray. If you insert a paper pin into this hole it will travel free some distance and then encounter resistance. Just press a little more and this will unhook the latch of the tray and the tray will open. You can even try the software method. From My Computer select the DVD drive and right click. One of the options is Eject. Click on it. The tray should open up.

I am unable to open the dvd tray after inserting a dvd which plays ok.i want to be able to open and close the dvd tray as normal.

There may be a problem with the dvd you are using. If you look at the front of the dvd player there should be a very small hole. Take a paper clip and insert into this hole which should open the dvd drawer.

Now try another dvd to the if the player functions correctly. If not it likely means that there is a problem with your dvd player.

DVD/CD tray will not load

With the R800, you must slightly open the paper feed panel door, lift it vertically about an inch and then lay it open horizontally away from the printer. Without doing this, there is no way to insert the disc tray.

DVD tray won't open

Look for a small pin hole in the front of the DVD player. Insert a pin into the hole to open the tray.
Also try right clicking the DVD icon, click 'eject', then insert the pin into the hole.
If the door only opens partially, grab it and pull it open. Then insert a blank DVD into the tray, then see if the tray will open automatically with the disk in the tray. If so, then keep a DVD in the tray at all times.
