Dryer is spinning but has no heat we have found suggestions on the web to reset the dryer's thermostat by pressing a reset button..... However we are unable to locate this. Any suggestions as to the location of the reset button or further courses of action would be gratefully received. Many thanks

Hello. My dryer is not heating up. Are there some home troubleshooting things I can do before I call a repairman?

A common problem with your dryer not heating up could be that the thermostat may need a reset. Depending on the model and make of your dryer, the thermostat is normally located inside the rear cover of your driver. You may need to undo a few screws to get to it. Once you have located it, look for a switch/button on the thermostat and press it. This should get your element heating again.

Thermostat, High limit and low limit thermostat or even a safety Temp limiter. All three are similar in cost and located on the back inside of the dryer and 1 by the airflow tube under the lint trap.

the thermal cutout is the thermostats u have two in a dryer one for the low heat and one for the high heat there just called a thermal cutout switch because it prevents the dryer from over-heating and setting a fire m8 but before you buy one just check if your thermostat for the lower heat might have a small reset button attached to it if it does then press this and if it not faulty will reset itself to start heating up again its that one with the reset buton that are called a thermal cut-out switch let me know which country you live in and i should be able to find you the cheapest web site to order from m8

I just had the same problem, motor runs but no heat. I had a fun time figuring out how take the front panel off, hint the rubber seal comes off easily. It looks like mine tripped the resettable over heat sensor. So far so good.
