SOURCE: I cant get any output

You have to enable the line in as active input through the audio mixer of the FCA202. In some cases it is necessary to enable the line in monitoring too (for monitoring purposes). In details: Open the audio mixer for FCA 202, set the output volume at minimum level, go at the input tab and check line in as active audio input. Increase the volume and check the results. If you still get no audio from your mixer, do the same procedure for the line in at the recording panel for the FCA202.

SOURCE: A new DM7 drum set

The sound on all the stock kits I found to be too low. What I did was create a custom kit and altered the dynamics of all the pads and cymbals - once you're in the dynamics settings, just hit the pads/cymbals the hardest you normally would and save that setting!

SOURCE: I would like to connect

Cables between sources and compatible units rarely need to be physically modified.

Splicing headphone outputs designed for nominal 8-ohm impedance speakers to a 47K-ohm (typical) RCA load is not a good idea but it might work on the Sherwood because this receiver does not automatically silence your other speakers when the headphone jack is installed.

There is NO other volume-controlled output to choose. Try it.

I think problem is with audio input. if you are running windows 7 do the followind 1) in Control Panel Click on "Sound" 2) Then in "Recording" tab make sure your device is correctly configured. 3) make sure devicec have green signs. If they aren't select device and click "Set Default" button. here is a image for normal configuration: mirushaki_0.jpg

How do I use headphones with this model

The unit does not have a headphone output or a provision for headphones. An option will be connecting headphones or wireless headphones that have a digital optical input to the digital optical output of the TV. The TV speakers should be off in order for the output to work.

I receieved a pair of Koss SB145 headphones without the instruction manual. It has two connectors and I am clueless how to record things etc..

I suspect that you actually have the Koss multimedia headphone/microphone model SB/45 as shown on the right earcup, not SB145.

If this is the case, the 3.5mm connector with the black plastic (contains a headphone symbol molded into the plastic) and red insulation bands separating the conductors is for the stereo headphones. The other 3.5mm connector with the tan plastic (contains a microphone symbol molded into the plastic) and black insulation bands is for the microphone.

You need to plug these into the microphone input and headphone output connectors on your computer or whatever device you are recording with. Then adjust the microphone input audio level and headphone output audio level on your recording device. Consult your manual for your recording device to locate the correct connectors and for instructions to adjust the audio levels.

Also, be sure to check and adjust the volume level control on the headphone cord if you don't hear anything after correctly connecting them to your recording device and adjusting the levels.

I would like to connect my computer to my panasonic sa-ht800v unit and hear the sound thru the surround sound speakers

In general, your PC's sound card (and its controlling software) will determine what it can connect to.

Even the most basic PC would have stereo analog output via the typical green 1/8" connector or a headphone jack that easily adapts to RCA pair for analog audio connection. Any Line Level input EXCEPT PHONO would accept the PC's output. The output level would be controlled by the sound card software and settings.

The SA-HT800's single LINE Input would accept the Green stereo audio or speaker output from a standard PC, once adapted. Select VCR.

Find your PC's Sound Controls and enable the applicable input. make sure the volumes of both Inputs and Outputs are turned up.

Though not applicable to theGemini, more-advanced sound cards and audio hardware would have similar adaptable 5.1 or 7.1 (paired) analog outputs and / or digital audio outputs that conform to the s/pdif or Dolby Digital standards.

Hearing headphones hooked up to hd tv which has to run on component and has no sound now

What connecttion on the TV are you using to connect the headphones?

If its the Component Audio In, this wont work as its only an input not an output. If your TV has a headphone connection, use this.

I have a P-85 piano that I wish to connect to my HS-80Mmonitor. The only output for the piano is the headphone jacks which I expect is about 80 ohms impedance. The input impedence to the monitor is not...

Generally speaking of course, you would never direct the signal from an amplified output into a line level input, however with headphones the level of amplification required is so small that the signal will typically be even less what a line level input is expecting. So do you want to headphone output signal further?

Basically, if you connect a headphone output signal to a several thousand ohm line level input it will behave pretty much like a line level signal.

Therefore, I would try it as is first to see if your results are acceptable. The output level should range somewhere within what a line level range should be although you might have to turn the volume up more than you would have to if it were a line level out.

Just start with the volumes all the way down, then turn your monitor levels somewhere in the middle and then turn up the keyboard level and see how good the sound is.

You may be perfectly happy with the results, otherwise you could try a headphone amp, but be careful with the volumes

Here's a good article on this topic which should address any concerns:
