Using the Steering Wheel remote Control

Turn on the radio and the display will show 'CODE'

Use the Steering Wheel Remote Controls for code entry.

Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct first digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct second digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct third digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct fourth digit

If the correct code is now shown on screen,
press and hold the [ ¬] button for up to 10 seconds to store the code

1...Either make sure you press the final button ( ¬ ) for at least 10 seconds to store the code

2...If that also fails, then it is likely you are using the wrong code. If possible post the SECURITY NUMBER and I`ll check it for you. This number is found on a label on the casing and is in the format TOA123 or TA123 or just A123 at the end of a barcode.

The third possible reason is that your radio is not displaying CODE. Leave it SWITCHED ON..UNDISTURBED until it does

The radio is displaying the word code, when that goe off it goes to the four Os on the screen. I have then followed your process with the number from the dealer but it just goes back to the word code and locks me out again !!! your help is appreciated on this

In case we have further faults where do I find the number ? and if it is on the radio casing how do we get the radio out ?

The SECURITY NUMBER is found on a label on the radio casing so the radio has to be removed.

    See here for removal instructions

A pair of extractors are required (available from Ebay etc ) but these can be made from 2 pieces of bent, wire coat-hanger or 4 small drills(using the blunt end) or 4 small Allen Keys or 4 small screwdrivers or 4 nails or even 4 darts.

An assistant is useful to pull the radio out whilst you are releasing the 4
    securing clips

note: on some radios , these 4 holes are protected by 4 small screws. These
can be unscrewed using the appropriate size of Allen key.

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your Renault service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

Srs reset?

This maybe a little tricky. You need to make sure you have the proper radio code so you can reset after you disconnect the batery. Once you have mad esure you have the code and the battery is disconnected, double check all your connections under the seat. This is telling you there is a hard code recognized. If you do not have the radio code, you will need to call the dealer with vin and then write it in the back of the owner's handbook or somewhere else safe.

Some radios hold the codes for a few Min's.However ,Disconnect the battery again and leave disconnected for an hour. Then reconnect and Enter codes and confirm.Should work ok.
