Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
The shop is correct, your keyboard layout is American. Unfortunately the shop omitted to set the computer up properly. I would take it back and ask them to set the country code to match the keyboard. It will take them longer to boot up the laptop than to do the job! It is that simple for a trained person to do and should have been set correctly in the first place.
I quite agree, it is disgracefull for you to have been given that information when they clearly understand the problem and could have done it there and then.
I don't know which country you are in and so I cannot advise on your rights. If you are in the UK and mention Trading Standards, you may get a positive result!
Any problems and we will try to help in any way we can.
