I need to remove my Delco/Bose stereo system from my 1995 corvette

Remove the console door and then the top of the console then all the screws in the face plate, then the radio machine screws and the radio slides out. About 30 minutes on my 1996.

1998 chevrolet silverado delco radio backlight bulbs are not working. Removed faceplate for radio, which exposed a circuit board. Looks like this board will have to be removed to access bulbs. Has anyone...

The tiny light bulbs are indeed soldered to the front circuit board and a pain to replace. The bulbs can be had at Radio Shack, part # 7219 I did the ones in my Delco/Bose Gold radio in my Corvette, took all afternoon.

1990 corvette bose gold series stereo malfunction. How to remove to send to Bose for repair.Dont want to damage dash besels.

The trim is held in by sprung clips. Pry gently at the edge/corner with a small screwdriver until you can get your fingers behind it. Pull straight out. Here are instructions from autozone.com:

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Radio Control Assembly

  1. Disconenct the negative battery cable.
  2. Remvoe the shift lever knob.
  3. Remove the console trim plate.
  4. Remvoe the center air duct.
  5. Remove the instrument panel accessory trim plate.
  6. Unfasten the upper right corner console right hand trim pad-to-carrier screw.
  1. Unfasten the bolts/screws securing the radio control assembly. Pull the radio partially for access to the electrical connectors, then unplug the connectors and remove the radio control assembly from the vehicle.

See Figure 1 ce60f4e.gif

Fig. Fig. 1: Exploded view of the radio control assembly

Radio has no audio .Changed battery and then I had no audio. The attena works, the clock works and the stations light up and change, but no audio. Delco Bose Gold Series

First thing I would check would be for a blown fuse ... look in your owner's manual for location of the fuse box and which one to check. Take it out and see if it is blown - the wire is broken and not letting current go to the radio. Good luck, J
