I would change the needle because sometimes there is a burr inside the eye of the needle. Now when you rethread, make sure that your presser foot is up, and then pull on the thread to make sure that the thread is seated in all of the guides.
The linkage under the dash sometimes breaks, the picture shows the most common part that breaks. You can see this from the drivers side, its a back breaker to get in there to see it, trust me!!! You'll have to find a junkyard Capri to get this part if its broke, OR... Look at the picture near the 'A'. That plastic arm is supposed to move like that double-ended arrow line shows. That is what does not move to give you heat when the part breaks. In a pinch, you can tie a string to the part, and run the sring where you can get to it from inside teh car. Just a tug, and you've got heat, until you can find the broken part. Good luck...Chris
The most common cause of that is signal break up causing firstly "blocking" of the picture and audio drop out. Heavy clouds can also cause signal deteriation as does heavy rain. Hope that helps.
First are you using the right kind of DVD recordable disc for your machine? For instance is it a + recorder and you are using - disc?
On the reception issue, can you see a good picture or does it break up sometimes. If it does break up it could make the recording stop. If you are using a digital TV signals, I suggest you get an aerial like below and hook it up with satellite co-axial cable.
The circuit board inside is cracked and has broken circuit traces. This is common if a set is dropped. The usual area that gets damaged is around a part called the horizontal output (or "flyback") transformer. It's the part with a red wire leading up to a rubber cap connected to the top of the picture tube. The flyback is fairly heavy and usually there's not much support for the circuit board in that area. When the set gets dropped, the weight of the flyback can break the circuit board. This can sometimes be repaired depending on the extent of the damage. Often the breaks are very obvious and sometimes not. Some of the circuit traces are very thin and close together which makes finding and repairing the damage difficult. In some cases other parts and areas can be damaged as well. This kind of repair requires considerable troubleshooting and soldering skills, so you might want to let a professional shop give you an estimate for the repair.
I bought a Trutech 20 inch Flat Screen TV about a week ago. All of a sudden the picture has reduced to about 15 inches, on some channels. Also the picture breaks up a little every time I run a DVD.
Then recently, these additional problems:
1. The picture cannot be restored by turning off then on.
2. Sometimes, several channels will have the same picture.
3. Sometimes several channels will have the same ghost-like picture.
the above all problems are due to one that is weak signal.
1 check for antena or cable or satellite input is ok or wire might be defective due to old.
2 input socket is loose some where.
3 loose contact near tuner or some print break.
4 at last & final its tuner might be defective.
hope this will help.
