Question about Canon NP 6230 Copier

1 Answer

I am a total zero in technology. My canon NP 6230 power switch turns off automatically within seconds of turning the power on. The machine gets heated and the paper gets stuck and crinkled. I would like to know if you have a service center in Jakarta - Indonesia for canon copiers? That would surely be a great help. Thanks Luiza

When I turn the copier on: Error code E000 appears and it turns off automatically. What's wrong?

e000 means the machine not sensing the heat by his thermistor within a presetted period in "FIXING UNIT"
the main reasons are
check every connector of fixing unit.
check heaters lamp in upper heat roller in fixing unit.
check thermostate and clean/replace thermister.
if lamps, connections and thermistor and thermostate are ok then power control pcb may be faulty

It comes on and it ask for ID and then when you put it in it goes to the error and ask to turn off the copier and turn it back on. Canon 6230

What is the Error Code that it displays for start. It will give us a clue what is wrong with the copier. With out it, It would be a S.W.A.G.

Getting e711 error message, requires restart and still gets same error

There is a communication error between the machine and one of the accessories.
Turn the copier off, disconnect all accessories (sorter, feeder) and try again.

You may want to reconnect them one at a time to see which one is bad.

Canon copier make is 6312

E002, fuser is not heating up, you will have to test the fuser lamp/lamps, thermal fuses, and connections.
I could also be the thermistors.

We have a Canon NP 6050 copy machine. When you put the plug in the socket, machine is only on for less than one second, then automatically shut off by itself.

I forgot one thing, if it turns OFF before it displays the error code Hold the power switch ON till it shows the code...... I'm thinking it maybe a E0200 or E0210 that is a scanning lamp or it could be a broken fixing lamp.... I'm guessing....
