Your installation file must be corrupted as windows will not recognize it as a valid executable.
Here is where you can download the latest Windows Live Messenger. Messenger is a part of Windows Live Essentials, download the Live essentials installer and select the programs you would like to install. http://explore.live.com/windows-live-messenger?os=other

How to uninstall windows messenger in windows 7

It can be done through the Control Panel and the Add/Remove Programs function. You will NOT, however, see "Windows Live Messenger" on the programs list. What you will see is an item called "Windows Live Essentials".

Click on the Change/Remove button for Windows Live Essentials, then select Uninstall, and then in the next window check "Messenger." Then continue with the uninstall process.

Hope that's helpful.

  2. Then click on the Video Settings.

  4. Then, on the bottom of the page click on Save.

The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now be able to see and her to you.

C. Windows Live Messenger:
Go to this site http://download.live.com/?sku=messenger and download Windows Live Messenger.

  1. After you start Windows Live Messenger, expand the view by clicking on the square on top left next to the red X.
  2. Then on the Windows Live messenger window on the right side, click on “ “Show Menus.” And then click on “Show the Menu Bar”.
