"out of range" messege when powered-on

If you are getting this message on a laptop it sounds like your display driver has become corrupted. That message typically indicates your graphics adapter is attempting to display a resolution that your screen is not compatible with. Try rebooting the laptop and tapping the F8 key. This should allow you to boot into safe mode. Once in safe mode go into the device manager and reinstall your display driver.

Sometimes the picture on this monitor used to fade out to all black when my comp was idle but blocked from going standby. and recently it just quit working. when i power up my comp, the monitor gets all...

first u have to chk whether the screen has that kind of a colour in BIOS> if it has its a monitor issue> if not it can either be the video card that u use> or else the graphics chip on ur computer motherboard>
u can still try Reseating RAm and CMOS on ur motherboard then chek if ur computer boots with display

Ialmrnt 5 display driver has stoped working normally

Uninstall video driver from "Add or Remove Programs" Folder. REBOOT. You will get 640x480 video with 16 colour. Don't panic. Install latest downloaded video driver. Reboot! Then adjust settings.

Flatscreen goes blank and displays the message

Out of range indicates that the refresh rate or resolution is set too high for the monitor to display. I would suggest re booting into safe mode by pressing F8 during boot, before windows begins to load. Select safe mode with networking if you can, and once in safe mode, uninstall the ati display driver from the control panel. Then go to ATI's site and download the latest driver for your card. Save that file to your desktop. Reboot normally, as Windows should load default vga drivers for your card. Once in Windows, install the latest driver you just downloaded. That should reset the resoultion to one that your monitor can display. Good luck:)

PROBLEM W/ CASIO fx-260 SOLAR

Sorry, but I think you misunderstood what the manual says. See the not on the screen capture.
True the sentence is not very clear, but what it means is the following:
All modes (except COMP) will have an indicator (with the appropriate labeling) displayed. When in COMP mode the COMP indicator is not displayed.

The truth of the matter is that computation- wise you have two MODES only : the general COMPutational mode and the Standard Deviation (SD Statistics) MODE. These two are incompatible because the key layout is different.

But to compute trig functions
  1. calculator must not be in SD mode, hence it is in COMP mode
  2. An angle unit must be shown on display.
Read the screen capture about the MODES of this calculators. DEG,RAD, and GRAD remind the user that the angle units in trigonometric function calculations and coordinate conversions are in degrees, radians or grads. They have nothing to do with the other calculations you are doing.

874c328.jpg

You can only remove DEG by changing the angle unit to RADians or GRADs. In so doing, the new unit indicator (RAD, GRAD) will be displayed instead. There is no point worrying about the angle unit indicator unless you are performing coordinate conversions or calculating trigonometric functions or the inverse trigonometric functions.

MODE 9 cancels the FIX display format: decimal are displayed with a fixed number of decimal places (set by the user). After this key sequence the decimal display format reverts to NORM(al).
