Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

Your switch is defective, It is a common switch, you can get at ace hardware, home depot, or even Hunter. Take out the switch, and bring with you to the store, if you cant figure out how to remove the switch, i suggest you contact a Handyman, in your area

I tried to help you. Please help me and Rate/Vote on my response. We take the time to answer your question's. take the time to rate us.Thanks and good luck

The dirtbags who are putting these fans together install the chain mechanisms sideways and upside down.Make sure the power is off, drop the light assembly, and with your fingers you can align the mechanism straight up and down. Drilling a hole in the globe so that the chain is straight up and down will also help.

Casa Vieja ceiling fan w/remote; worked well. Then wall switch was turned on/off, chains pulled. Everything working: fan high, med and low, and light on/off/dim - except now fan won't turn off !

The chain pulling and switch flipping causes the simple logic in the remote receiver to become confused. Your only hope for restoring normal operation (short of replacement) is to disconnect power at the source, then remove remote battery and press all buttons to eliminate "stuck button" problem. Reconnect power and test operation using only the remote. If normal, you will have to decide whether to disable pull chains, wall switches, or both. If not normal, you will have to try an infinite number of combinations of pull chains, wall switches, and power on-off to get things back to normal.

We just recently installed a harbor breeze ceiling fan w/light and remote. During a storm the lights just quit working. What can we do?

Power outages cause ceiling fans to suffer memory loss. The basic "cure" is to disconnect fan power at the source and, while waiting a few minutes, remove the remote battery and press all buttons to verify that none are stuck. Reinstall the battery and test operation. Other factors may affect restored operation such as using wall switches and pulling the chains. The simple brain in the fan canopy can't remember switch and/or pull chain settings at the instant of power loss.

Fan is stuck on high, and I'm trying to install a 3-speed pull chain.

Do you know the make/model of fan? Hopefully you have the correct switch.

Pull chain hanup on glass light cover

Take the glass off and see if there is a hole in a small plate below the light sockets. The pull chain should go thru this hole first before the glass. I don't know if this has it or not being that it's a low-end store brand fan.

Model: 21647 chain is stuck for light

When you say stuck I assume you mean it is stuck in the fan. You have to carefully unwind the fan to release the chain pulling slightly as you unwind.
If the switch itself is broken they are an easy fix from any home repair or electric supply house

Pull chain for fan difficult to operate

All Hunter ceiling fans are "remote control" adaptable. Consider a remote control for it.
There are Nylon pull strings fitted with a ball clasps on the ends. Consider that, too.

The first place I would try is Lowes or Homedepot. You can find switches there.

Chain stuck

Change the switch. Sometimes gently yanking on the chain releases the jam. More often than not, the switch needs to be replaced which requires dis-assembling the fan.

Pull Chains Replacement

Replacements are available at Home Depot and Lowes. This is a regular 4-wire single-layer switch.

Mark the old wires, so you know which ports they go to in the switch (marked L, 1, 2, and 3) -- then remove the old wires by pressing a paper clip into the hole of each wire while pulling firmly on the wire. Then just push the wires into the new switch, into the marked holes.

I hope this helps! If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask!
