That DS1 is down. This would be number 1 in card 7. You can either turn up the circuit, or flip the 'IN USE' jumper off for that port on the card.

I need to recall the system speed dial directory on my NEC Electra telephone system. I am unable to find a memory re-call/display feature in my manual.

With this old model of phone you don't have the soft keys to scroll through the directory like the newer models have.

In order to check the system speed dials you will need to check them manually:

System Speed Dial #'s
LNR/SPD key and the system speed # 00~79

Station Speed Dial #'s
LNR/SPD key and the system speed # 80~99

This will dial the # and/or display the name associated with the speed dial.

In order to program them refer to this manual:

Elite IPK Features and Specs

Look under Speed dial-Station or System.

Display Not Working

There is a ribbon cable on the display that may have come loose. If you open it you could plug it back in. If that is not the problem than reset the digital station card or you need to get the phones fixed.

How to change time on NEC Electra Elite IPK? I

You have to be on the root phone or "first phone".
To check various phones -Hit {feature} 4.
Should display 100= TEL 01. Once on the first phone then use {feature} 9 #.
Time will flash at top of display and can be adjusted.

If you are not on the first phone you will get error at the top of the display. Leave the hand set on the hook.

MLX-28D Corded Phone Change Time

The time is stored on the phone system, not the phone. You first need to know which phone system you have. This phone will work on a few different Avaya phone systems (AT&T and Lucent are now Avaya)

You can find all the manuals for free at www.avaya.com but you first need to know which system you have.
