Question about Acer Extensa 4620 Notebook
I know this is not what you want to hear, but you will have to send it to Acer to have the bios password reset. I am an Acer authorized technician and I have tried everything under the sun to reset acer laptop bios passwords. Removing the bios battery won't do it. Please trust me on this one. In Canada Acer charges $100 for this service. Sorry I couldn't give you better news.

SOURCE: Acer aspire 2920 bios password
Only way is to remove the CMOS battery for an hour or two and hook it back. It should work.
Optional is conatct Acer they would have a Default password for all the machines that they produce.
Post back if it is not working we will be happy to help you.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: forget bios password
I had same problem, just remove plastic trim ( the one with the switches to power on etc etc ) and you will see a micro dipswitch. It should have all 4 switches to 0, move switch 1 to position 1 power laptop and password should be removed. Turn laptop off move switch 1 back to posiotion 0 and replace the plastic trim. It worked for me on an ACer Aspire 3610.
