Denon AVR 1705-no audio on TV (by 2 users)

The Denon AVR1705 has been setup & working for about 2 years. Suddenly, the DVD player stopped outputting audio however CD's would continue to play. I disconnected the DVD player to test at another source, DVD works fine. Reconnected to Denon and now the DVD plays audio but now I don't have audio when on TV source. Suggestions?

I have the same problem.

no audio on tv mode,picture fine. when I switch to dvd I can here the TV. Switch back to TV same problem no sound? I unplugged - switch to auto,nothing - tried the microprosser reset,nothing very frustrating

I have had the same problem and was told that it is a "board" inside. Essentially it has lost the surround sound ability and can only play things in Direct/Stereo. Mine is just over 2 years and I originally thought my kids had hit a button on the thing causing the issue...ended up paying $100 to trouble shoot it and confirm that it is internal and more expensive to fix than replace. Can't say that I will be buying a Denon again.
