Hi - This called the diopter adjustment which compensates for small differences in focus between the left & right eyes.

See the following web page for adjusting :

SOURCE: My Bushnell Insta Vision binoculars

Hi,

These binoculars are renowned for this problem unfortunately. What happens is the two oculars become misaligned and this causes the "double vision" effect. There is no adjustment you can make yourself to correct the problem.

Most Bushnell products are covered by a lifetime warranty but I believe there are exceptions to this and your binoculars are one of these exceptions and are covered by a 2 year warranty.

If you send the binoculars back to them - for another $10 delivery fee they will correct the problem for you.

There is no other way to correct the issue so if your binoculars are still covered by warranty this is the only solution in this case.

See link below for Bushnell warranty information and the correct procedure for returning repairs and please do leave a vote for the solution. Thanks.

How do I replace the turntable motor?

Roger, lay your microwave on it's back after taking your turntable plate out of the microwave. Looking at the bottom plate you should see in the middle an area that covers your motor that should be square, a rectangle, or a circle. There usually is also a screw that is just screwed into the bottom plate. Around the middle part, whichever shape it is, there will be a series of small holes with a thin piece of metal going between the holes, get a pair of side cutters and snip the thin strips of metal and that will give you access to the motor when they are all snipped out. To replace it you usually just have to turn the plate 180 degrees and use that screw to hold it back in place. Hope this helps.

Repair ACER Keyboard

Many a times, laptop's keys fell off the keyboard or it gets damaged. Don't fret on buying a whole new keyboard when you can repair the keys yourself.
This is an installation guide to repair keys of Acer’s laptop keyboard.

You should have a key cap and 2 or more retainer clips (plastic pieces), that goes underneath the key cap.

To install the key on your laptop keyboard, start out by observing the metal plates on the keyboard.

Always be sure to look at the metal keys because they differ in every keyboard. The larger metal hooks can be at the top, bottom, right or left side. The position of the metal hooks determines the position of plastic pieces.

Here you can see that it has one large metal hook at the bottom and two metal hooks at the top.

Take the larger plastic piece and observe that it has two holes at the top corners, two sticks at the bottom and two holes in the middle. The top holes are going to go into the top metal hooks on the keyboard. The smooth part of the plastic piece faces away from the keyboard.

Take the smaller plastic piece and observe that it has two holes at the top, two sticks at the middle and a bar with larger hole at the bottom. The sticks in the middle are going to go into the middle holes of the larger plastic piece. The bottom bar is going to click onto the bottom metal hook on the keyboard. The smooth part of the plastic piece faces away from the keyboard.

Place the smaller plastic piece onto the larger plastic piece and insert its sticks to the holes of larger piece. It’s one piece now.

Insert the top plastic sticks into the top metal holes and the bottom bar into the bottom metal hook on the keyboard. Get a thin object or a blade and stretch the plastic pieces downwards to insert completely.

Take your letter key cap, put it in the middle of the plastic pieces and push down evenly from all four sides.

That's all to repair ACER keyboard key.

My d51238 brad nailer is not retracting nails after the first time

Driver not retracting is caused by bent shaft, oring too tight/loose, check seal missing, or lower bumper cracked/missing pieces. With air hose removed, push driver all the way up with thin metal. Should be rather easy to move. If hard to push, remove head and pull driver to check for items mentioned above. If easy to push up, test gun. If driver stays all the way down, pull cylinder and make sure check seal is in place. If driver goes partially up, oring too tight/loose, lube piston seal with white grease or silicone paste and retest (if bent, adjust or replace). Good luck

I bought my third pair of Bolle sunglasses approximately 1 year ago and paid retail price. Unfortunately, unlike all the other pairs of Bolle sunglasses I have owned, I have had trouble with these....

Maybe too late, but you should try with the Bushnell office directly. Bushnell bought the Bolle brand some years ago and so their local subsidiary is able to help..sometimes. at least better than the retailers or distributors.
i had pbs with the reflective coating of a pair of Bolle 2y ago and they changed a new pair for me. Their office is in Sheung Wan:

Problem is with a Quasar VHS 960

This is probably part of the cassette carriage (the unit that loads & ejects the tape). You could possibly post a couple of pics- of the loose pieces, and the carriage mechanism- perhaps a tech here could point to where the pieces fit. Hopefully, nothing on the carriage (or elsewhere) is broken. VCRs of the last 10+ years are made to break easily- thin metal, thin weak plastic.

Heat Disk Temperature Control (Rheostat) doesn't work properly

The switch inside is a thin piece of metal that flexes as it gets warmer / colder towards a pin that conducts power. This pin is rotated towards and away from the thin piece of metal as you rotate the dial counter clockwise / clockwise. The thin piece of metal glows when in use as resistance to electricity running through it causes it to heat up. You have seen this through the vent slats under the dial on the back of the unit. The resistance the thin piece of metal provides causes the electricity usage to be lower and the reason the unit has an 800w to 1500w power rating. The thin piece of metal is failing. You can have the heater FULL power but that is blowing lots of $$ in electric and you may not need all that heat. In the end the thin piece of metal will FAIL so the heater will no longer turn on at any setting. You can bypass the switch since the heating element and everything else is still in good working order and have a heater that works on 'high' all the time when that happens. You CANNOT order just a new switch, which would take anyone less than 5 minutes install. I thought the switch design was ingenious but poor quality metal even though it is a fraction of an oz in weight (since it is so small they SHOULD HAVE used better quality metal, it would have cost next to nothing extra) is most likely the culprit here. It is sad that the Presto Heatdish has to go to the landfill due to such a simple materials error. You will see how to bypass the switch though so it is on 'full and full time'. Maybe purchase a high wattage timer for it so you can set it to turn on in the evenings and mornings for a specified amount of time? Some good timers are around $7. Stan Horstman
