Question about Samsung Televison & Video
this means there is nothing wrong with your TV, the problem should be from the Teac set top box. To further confirm, if you have another TV, connect it to the Teac set top box and if there is still no sound, then it is obvious that it has a problem.
But first, check the audio wire and make sure its not defective. Also, check to make sure mute is not turned on, on the Teac set top box and make sure the volume on the remote control is raised to the highest. Check the back of the Teac set top box, make sure you connect the audio cord/wire to the right spot (Audio out).
Is non of the above is the cause of the problem, then it means the sound card/IC of the Teac set top box is defective, that's why it won't bring out sound.
This also means you will have to change the whole board for the Teac set top box, because both the video, audio and other components and on the same board. You might also end up taking it to a repair man because it take a professional to fix the problem.
But I hope this problem is a connection or settings problem.
