It sounds like you might have a bad or loose ground to the radio when you install it in the car. Where did you test the radio to verify that it worked?

Turned radio off then battery died, got vehicle fixed but no power to factory radio, all fuses check as good. Is there a trick to getting the radio to turn on again?

when the battery dies or is removed , the anti-theft code of the radio kicks in and the unit will not work again until a special code for that radio is reinstalled
the code could be in the user manual in the radio use section ,or there are sites on the net that may have the code for you

Battery on 98 Ford Expedition doesn't hold charge

First thing I would do is have someone qualified disconnect the alarm and stereo and start over.
Chances are you have circuits cross-connected and something is draining the battery.

Draining battery trouble starting

Check fuel pressure should read at least 30psi at the rail with no start. Or you can listen for the fuel pump to kick on when you turn the key. You should hear a high pitch sound if you don't you probably need a fuel pump and filter. How many miles on truck?

I have an electrical, problem the battery is being drained overnight and i can't seem to find out what is causing the problem ,any ideas?

start with battery. sometimes older batt. won't hold a charge overnite. disconnect battery and reconnect next day and check. if batt is ok disconnect alternator overnite and connect next day to see if it was problem.
