Question about Toshiba 32A33 32" TV

1 Answer

My idiot roommate cut my power cord in two and tried to pull it out of the back of the TV. Can I just replace the cord outright? If so, how do I remove the old cord. It won't come free from the TV. dj

Hello,
You can probably replace the cord outright , but to do that you will have to take the tv apart and also purchase a new cord. If you still have the original cord that got cut, you can just splice it using **** connectors and it will be easier and cheaper. If you do take that route, just make sure you splice the same colors together, and use some electrical tape to re-insulate the cord. Hopefully this helped.
Thanks

Testimonial: "Thanks, Robert. What kind of connectors did you say? It was starred ***** out. I can fix it that way, I think. That cord ain't coming out from the TV"

The connectors are called **** connectors or inline splices and you will need a tool to crimp it. You can probably get a cheap set at the hardware store that will include both the connectors and the tool and that should do the job for you.
    Good luck!
