This machine has a hystory of motor control board issues and this sounds excactly like the symptons. The timer part of the controler seems to be skipping. The problem is the whole control board may need replaced.

Other things that can make the washer act like this are.
    Test the lid switch
Inspect under the washer for soot (clutch)
    Inspect the agitator
    Test the water level switch
The lid switch will keep the washer from agitating, this is a safety device, The pressure switch tells the washer it has enough water in it to start washing, if this is clogged or kinked it will not start the agitation. Since it is spinning I wouldn't worry about the motor coupling or the pump since it is pumping out the water as well. The agitator should have some small plastic dogs in it that make it agitate, these can be worn or broken but if that were the case that machine would run but not agitate.m I would check the lid switch first, then the pressure switch. On most models there is a small lastic hose coming from the tub to the control board and it hooks to a round sensor. Take the hose off and blow through it to make sure it is free and clear.

Hi if it's draining out on your floor you have a split hose, very easy to fix just put your washing machine forward(turned off)and lay it on a towel, Look underneath and you should see the split hose..... Good luck....

Water level

Probable causes:
Faulty water inlet valve - unplug washer, if water continues to fill
replace the valve.
Water level switch, hose or dome faulty - service the assembly.
Timer faulty - unplug washer, if water stops filling test timer.

Dennis

My simpson esprit 450 washes dirt/sand into the tub - how can I clean the

Hi just read your posting. The only way you can assess the tank is to remove the inner bowl. This is quite difficult.I can help you with removing the inner bowl but I think the easiest way is to fill the machine on a High water level and when it stops filling and starts to agitate pause the machine and advance the cycle to spin and let the pump drain out the sandy water.Give this a try the reply back on how you got on.

Simpson Esprit 750 washing machine timer?

Hi! My Simpson Esprit 750 washing machine won't click over to the next stage in the cycle. All of the stages work if you turn the dial manually so I am wondering if it may be the timer that needs replacing? I can't hear it in operation. Thanks.

Washing Machine won't stop filling and then won't stop emptying

Does your machine fill with water even if the machine is off? In this case your inlet valve at top of machine is defective & can be easily replaced (will tell u where to get spares, if your dealer cannot) by yourself.

If water does not stop, after filling machine at a low level(is this a front loader?) and is flowing away - check your exit pipe, it has to have a certain height (approx 3 feet) up before going down to your drain pipe.
