Hello, the other night when I was driving home from work, the car radio suddenly turned off and it now will not lock on to any station, sits there a couple of seconds thinking and then a message...

What kind of radio is it? Is it factory, or after market? If it's after market, what is the brand and model number? If it's the factory, what is the make and model is the car?

I have a CQ-RX400 car stereo that i just bought and the front display keeps flashing from ipod-reading-cd-usb Etc. and i just want it to stay at the time or radio station name. how do i do this?

You have to turn off the "DEMO" mode on your Panasonic radio. Check your owner manual for more detail. By default the radio run in "DEMO" mode when you use it for the first time!

Panasonic CQ-DP620AEUC pinout (car radio/CD player) bought used from my brother. He didn't have the wiring pinout diagram anymore. Which wire is the "memory" connection to 12 VDC?

Yellow wire is always the memory or back up, which is always 12 volts even with key off. Red is for ignition, 12 volts only when key is on. Black is ground. Speakers are color coded in pairs, the grey and white pairs are the fronts and the green and purple pairs are the rear speakers. Each speaker wire with a black stripe is the negative speaker lead and the solid color is the positive.

If you need more help just let me know and a FixYa! rating would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

I have just given a friend my Panasonic in car CD player/receiver CQ/RDP 152N and he has wired it up but it has come up EXT-MUTE. Could you please explain how he gets rid of this. Thanks

You connected the phone mute wire(usually yellow with black stripe). Some time it touches the ground when you tucked the radio in with properly taped it, too. Make sure to unhook it and tape it up good should do it. Goodluck.
