I have a 52 inch lcd toshiba tv its a little over a year old. After the tv has been on for a while there begins to have problems with the screen color. the color goes dull would be the way I would describe it. Blues and greens don't look like blue or green. I have another tv in my place which does not do it so im pretty sure its my tv not the actual cable. any suggestions?

Perhaps an easy fix. Remove the back of the flat screen. There will be a main circuit board visible. There will be several capacitors, cylinders with a cross hatch on the silver top. Do any of them look like they have a dimple created by expansion of the internal capacitor material over heating? If you see an expanded top...that's probably your problem. Get your solder gun out and replace that capacitor. You can order a new one off of Amazon. If yours is a 10 volt capacitor, consider replacing it with a 16 volt unit. Generally the electronics companies under design the size of these units. When you replace the capacitor take note of the silver band on the unit and where its placed in the two socket holes....there is a positive and negative hole placement.

The screen has colored vertical lines and becomes to a dark black band about 6 inches of width. The tv is exactly two years old by today.

My 3-year old 52-inch Toshiba flat panel TV (Model # 52RV53U, Serial # AM409000295) developed a display problem (purchased Aug. 2008, manufactured July 2008). Vertical multicolored lines appeared on the screen just left of center. The band of thin vertical bars is 5.5 inches wide. The lines are about 1/16-inch wide. They are stationary, always exactly in same place. They over-ride any other picture on the screen (no transparency). They are there all time even with no video inputs to the TV after the unit is turned on. See picture #1. The TV works well in every other respect, but, obviously, it is annoying to watch the picture with the color band blocking about 1/6 of the picture.

I already swapped out the TCON board with no improvement and replugged the TCON board cables with no improvement.

Most likely it is the flat panel tab bond failure (panel made by Samsung). Further solution updates will be on my Facebook page.

This problems is not the causes by a human or an objects by hitting the LCD screen panel wright? If,yes this problems can't be repair, the LCD screen panel it dead. The tv now, only can be used as spare parts, not worth as a whole tv anymore. If tv it develope all these colors lines by it self?Yes,this tv can be repair, the board call the T-Con decoders board is the causes and the problems. This T-Con decoders board sit right at the middle botton of the LCD screen panel.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish T-Con decoders board for the replacement.
