Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
To eliminate the possibility of any shorts take your motherboard out of
your case and set it on a piece of cardboard or wood and see if it
boots. Any other thing that you can take out to the case like your HD
and power supply take it out, plug everything into the motherboard and
see if it boots.
Try booting with only one stick of ram.
Reset everything, cables, GPU, ram, etc.
Check all cable connections to make sure that you got everthing plugged in right.
Check your CPU for bent pins.
