Question about Haier Air Conditioners

1 Answer

I recently purchased a haier hwr08xc7 air conditioner within the last month. I get an E1 error on the digital screen readout and it wont run at all. It seems to keep kicking the relay built into the plug end as well.

Hello customer,

The temporary solution is to Power it ON using the remote contoller o thr air conditioner. It works. However i recommend you to lodge a service complaint to your dealer so that they would see to it.
Thank You.

What to do to fix the E1 error on a haier her08xc7

Push buttons about five times each beforjust to make sure they are not stuck....then......Turn the air conditioner OFF and unplug it. NOTE: The air conditioner must be unplugged for the automatic filter clean timer to reset. Clean the filter. See the Care and Cleaning section in your use and care manual. After cleaning, replace the filter and plug the air conditioner back in.

Other forums say the E1 code is because the AC thinks a button is stuck or because it's dirty, but almost all of them say to use the remote and it'll work ok.

This air conditioner has been working fine and today it cut itself off and is showing E1 in the window where the temperature usually is. I tried resetting and nothing the power on/off is not lit up either.

On Haier Ac Unis and Dehumidifiers the "E1" error code indicates a circuit failure.Only Haier Technical Service can tell you which circuit is involved. In the US & Canada call 1-877-337-3639.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

WHAT IF HAIER AIRCONDTIONER SHOWING E1,AND IT STARTED GOING TO DIFFERENT TEMPERATURE WITH OUT REMOTE OR TOUCHING,

You must have a stuck button. When it is first turned on it checks the keyboard circuit and if the test fails the E-1 shows up.

Haier hwr08xc7 air conditioner says E1 on the digital display????

Try washing out out side coil. Check voltage when unit is running. If condencer is plugged with dirt it will cause it to overheat. Also if it will run at night when its cooler outside the load maybe too great during the heat of day to cool down and may take all night. CO may mean compressor overload . but do wash it out.worth a try. Compressor maybe failing or weak. Capacitor maybe going bad. Hard to trouble shoot with out seeing it.
