It is usually a flash from the brushes that contact the armature. they may have not seated yet. there is the possibility that you have a problem and if it continues you should take it back or contact Bosch customer service.

You are sure the battery is charged OK? Bosch Li-Ion drills have a feature whereby they stop working when the battery is low but not discharged right out. This is to extend the battery life as it does not like being flattened altogether.

This happens quite suddenly, from one press of the trigger to the next. It can make you think the drill is faulty.

If the battery charge is OK, then maybe
- trigger faulty
- motor burnout
- broken contact on battery or in drill battery shoe

Bosch cordless drill not working.

First The model is pretty new. you need to register your tool on line. this takes you from a one year warranty to a three year warranty. They will give you a pro-vantage number. with that said it sounds like a trigger switch. Yhe trigger switch is the brain of your tool. not only does it do your variable speed but it also controlls the brake and your fuel gauge. Because of the cost I highly recomend taking it to your closes Bosch service center.

For the carbon brush to sparks as the motor turns, it is just normal especially for new ones. It will be minimal when the brushes sets well on the rotating commutators.
