My computer is stuck in hybernation mode

Hi wushuassazin:
1. What exactly do you see on the monitor screen when the computer starts?
2. Do you see any error message?

Step 1: We recommend you to start your computer in last known good configuration and check if the computer starts.
a. Start your computer and tap F8 key continuously to see advanced boot options.
b. Select Last known good configuration and hit enter.
c. Check if the computer starts.

Step 2: If the computer does not start, then check if it starts in safe mode
a. See Start the computer in safe mode
b. Check if the computer boots to the desktop.
c. If it boots, then restore the computer to an earlier time.
See How to restore Windows XP to a previous state

Step 3: If the computer does not start in any mode, then repair install using Windows XP disc
a. See Perform a Repair Installation
b. Once you've completed the installation, check if the issue persists.

Also use a system utility software like RegInOut to fix and avoid all such type of windows errors.

Hope this solution works for you.

There is a problem in my PC. Blue screen appears while working and forced to shutdown the computer. Somebody told me that there is a problem in RAM. I have already changed my RAM, but still am seeing that...

The blue screen is referred to as A BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH. Now that sounds a bit frieghtening but it does no harm at all to the pc. Yes ram can cause a BSOD but then so can outdated drivers. The first thing you should do is go to the motherboards manufacturers website and download all the latest drivers for that board. Install them and hopefully that should cure the problem.
Also on the blue screen you will find a explaination of what has caused the BSOD. Common ones are Page invalid, Kernal problems, a program problem. Also you will see a lot of error codes like
0X0000009E for example. The first block is one you are interested in. Google the stop code and you should be able to locate the trouble from that.

Good luck.

My sister's computer starts up and quits. do you think she has a virus

Hi,
if the computer starts and then shuts down, the problem could be a virus or a bad harddrive.
Power off the system and then restart , tap the F8 key couple of times as soon as the computer starts . Select safe mode with networking, check if the computer is able to start in safe mode or not . If the computer is not starting in safe mode aswell. its time to reformat the computer . Install windows on it again

Thanks
