Hello Nabrowne Hi, Use the input selector on the TV menu, if still no success try a different cable for your flat screen. there are several input you can use, the common one is the VGA, and the sVideo. connect the VGA cable to the TV. then on the menu select VGA/PC then on the laptop find the Fn functions that send the signal to the TV.

Bought a new 42' flat - "No Program or Weak Signal"

Hi,you have not said weather you are using a scart lead(euro connecter)or an RF lead,if you are using the later don't,please connect the vcr to the tv via the scart to scart euro connecters, use a good quality scart lead(the thicker the better)as the thicker ones generally are 21 pins connected meaning it should be auto switching so as soon as you play a tape it will come straight on.

To adjust screen size, choose the View Mode feature on the top right of the remote control. Zoom size is full screen for watching DVD movies, but sometimes there is still a thin black band due to the formatting of the dvd (unless you buy full screen versions) S. Stretch view mode is best for TV Movies.(usually fills whole screen) Occasionally there are TV movies which just don't respond to being stretched to fill the screen, it's just the way the signal is coming through . 1080i/p detects the resolution of the signal and displays the same number of pixels on the screen, but a 720p signal input will be viewed in full screen.
