Nope. UK TVs are set up for PAL video format, which isn't compatible with NTSC format.
The only way to do it would be to get a modchip for your Wii (I personally don't recommend this), or find somebody with an American TV.

Hooked up the wii to a new emerson tv. no cable is attached to the tv. the wii is showing up in black and white only, how can I get color

no your wii is in pal (UK EDITION) while your tv is NTSC( USA EDITION) so not compactible. So try seeing if tv has setting of switchin to pal if not sorry this means you can only by and play uk games if you got the wii in the usa its the opposite for you.

Can i use my wii i brought in england in usa

I believe England uses a PAL system as USA / Canada uses NTSC. You'd have to set your Wii settings to compensate. Also, power outlets in England are different from outlets in North America. You'd also need a new power adapter.

Is there a difference between korean made and USA made WII. I want to use it in India

Yes USA made will only sometimes work on USA TV standard, IE: NTSC, whereas Korean may not, or only do PAL, you must check, and see if only single format or dual format IE:: PAL & NTSC.

Wii "invalid format"

Back-up games cannot be played until you get your Wii modded. if you didn't do this yet, you cannot play them. Your TV has to do nothing with it, its the format you put on the CD.

Tip: Try to use Verbatim disks, they can be read on the Wii.

Tip: You need to put the file on the disk as a ''.ISO'' format.

Nintendo Wii

Google "Wii Homebrew" and read up on this amazing work people have put so much time and effort on to make it possible to make your Wii region-free and play software Nintendo didnt design. You will have to check what version of firmware the Wii has installed. This is easy though as all you do is open up the menu and look in the upper right hand corner. It should say 3.2E for a PAL [European Wii], 3.2U for NTSC [USA, Canada, and Mexico], 3.2 J for NTSC [Japan]. If it says 4.0 then you will have to wait for someone to find an exploit because Nintnendo has fixed the access point [the way you can install homebrew and start it] in this version of firmware. Just google it and read up on it. Best of luck and hope you dont have 4.0.

Usa wii console will not sync wii uk wii fit

The UK Wii Fit would be the PAL version and the US Wii is the NTSC version. I don't doubt that there is something preventing then to sync seeing that they are from different territories. You will need a North American Wii Fit in order to use it with your North American Wii.

It's most likely because the US Wii is NTSC and your European TV is PAL.

Nintendo Wii

Hey Preksha,

According to information provided by the manufacturer, the Nintendo Wii is currently available in both the NTSC and PAL formats. Due to fact that the U.S. primarily utilizes NTSC-format devices, the vast majority of Wii's sold through U.S. retailers most likely would be NTSC-compatible models - this would also apply to the video games sold for the console itself. Keep in mind that there may be some exceptions, but they will most likely be limited to specality stores and direct importers.

In order to ensure that a Wii purchased within the U.S. functions overseas, you would need to make sure that the TV it is connected to is capable of supporting the NTSC format and that the video game(s) purchased for the console were obtained/imported through a country that utilizes the NTSC format as well (U.S., Canada, or Japan). Unfortunately, PAL-coded games may not function in an NTSC-formatted console, and visa versa.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron

Screen losing color.. turning black and white

Your TV goes black & white, because your Wii could be NTSC or PAL which. If your Wii is PAL and your TV is NTSC then the TV will show a blac and white color. Since NTSC is for North America and PAL for Asia
