You can reset your reciever by completing three simple steps

1.Switch off the unit using the main unit's power switch

2.Hold the following DIRECT button and STEREO button, and
turn the main unit's power switch on.

3.Check that the entire display is flashing with an interval of

about 1 second, and release your fingers from the 2 buttons
and the microprocessor will be initialized.
If step 3 does not work start over and attempt again. Be aware this will reset all setting to factory defaults. Hopefully this helps.
Thanks.

Need operator manual

From what I understand, the AVR-5600 owner's manual was never released in a PDF format since it was a 1998 model. However, the AVR 5700 manual is apparently a close match to the receiver. You can download the AVR 5700 manual here: Home Stereo System and Headphone Spec Sheet Downloads Denon

My Denon AVR589 just started crackling like rice krispies, I've tried resetting the microprocessor, but no luck it still crackles. Is my unit fried?!

Is the sound from the unit itself (airborne) or is it through speakers only?

If the former, turn it off and take it to a tech to figure out what's sizzling in there.

If the latter, is it specific sources and/or specific speakers?

My Harman Kardon AVR 220 reciever's front-right channel isn't working. I have switched the two front speakers and the right speaker works on the left channel so it is not a problem with the speakers or...

if front left is working it is possible u have a dry solder on ur right channel line. try resoldering or if u want to know exactly where dry solder is, shake gently every right channel components and connections. if resoldering does not work it is possible u have a faulty ouput amp for ur right channel. if ur not sure about this i suggest u get it checked by a qualified tech.

Hello I have a bose amp. out of a 92 allante that pops and crackles. I'v been told to change out the caps. do you know which caps to change?

Hiya
If the pops and crackles are on both channels then most likely power smoothing caps. Look for the 2 biggest caps in the unit. Note i use word MOST LIKELY though please!! Also MAKE sure the new caps are correct polarity. If uncertain on polarity, soldering etc a friend can help maybe?? If on a single channel could be any one of them

The only thing that I can think of that would make a crackling sound would be that the lead going into the arial port on the tv is not connected properly or the channel on the tv is not tuned in correctly.

Denon avr-1909 crackling sound while watching Uverse HD.

It may may the the AT+T box is really not compatible with the AVR or the Pioneer.

Check the specs on those input/outputs for the Ubox and the receiver.
See if they agree. If so, try another hookup method like HDMI ( which carries the audio too)
