Press and hold energy saver and power freeze at the same time for 3 seconds. That will fix the problem!

The anti-theft alarm goes off everytime you open door regardless if it is locked or not

Interesting, seems alarm has been set-off before<now circuit is ON> and not been re-set back to neutral<re-set circuit to OFF> so when doors are closed, alarm memory retains previous set alarm memory <circuit set to ON>. It'ill go off again whenever door being opened, regardless it have been armed or left open as the memory circuit recognise it still as before alarm set-off<circuit is set ON>.

Solution, 1) Read your car owner's manual in the alarm section, read on how to re-set alarm to neutral if it has been set-off while armed [my experience is by turning the ignition key as if you are going to start the car engine but do not start engine then back to off position, do it 3 times as it will beep after 3rd run]. 2) On 4th run, start the engine, lock all doors then unlock it, 3) Turn off engine, get out from car, lock doors and arm alarm. 4) Dis-arm alarm, open doors and see if it still set-off alarm as before.

If all that doesnot work, go to your local dealer as alarm system has a system fault that can't be fixed without proper equipments.

Follow the instruction on how to accept and mark advise as giving you a core solution. Return a thumb up and praise response. Thank you.

My refrigerator is not working properly.. the freezer section is work fine.. but the other section is not getting cold...I bought this refigerator six months ago...the model is .. MCBR1010W

Your complaint is not unusual, except that you say the frig is only 6 mo. old. First, I suggest you call the manufacture for warranty service since the unit is still new. There are several items that could cause this problem. It usually will not help by playing with the controls for frig & freeze; the unit should work properly with the controls set at normal midrange for both frig and freez; changing the settings from normal cannot compensate for a mechanical problem. is the refrig in an enclosed space that cannot get good air circulation, or does this frig have the black grid coil in the back and you have the frig up against the rear wall so that no air can remove the heat from this coil ? Any other cause would require mechanical work within the frig components.

LG Frig musical tone-why

the musical tone is generally a door alarm letting you know the door is not closed all the way. I'm not sure about the LG sxs but their french door model has a service pointer about the lights not going out due to a bad door switch. 1st of all be sure your doors are closing properly then the next time you hear the alarm without opening the doors use a putty knife or butter knife and squeeze the seal back from the unit and see if the lights are still on in the refrig. you could have a misaligned door or bad switch..

Lg frig side is warm but freezer side is good

You are setting your fresh foods side to 34 but the display will go back to showing the actual temp. It is still set at 34. The refrig should be able to reach the 34 setting, so although 40 is an OK temp for a refrig, it is not what you set it to and you are definitely having a problem with the unit. Instead of starting to go through a long list of checks, I would advise you to call for warranty service, as the unit is only 3 months old.
Please don't bother rating this solution, as anything but a FixYa will lower my score. Thanks.

Need to silence "done" alarm

hi The dryer timer, located in back of the control panel, controls several things: the drying time of the clothes in the drum, the flow of electricity to the heating element, and the flow of power to the timer motor and the drum motor in the dryer cabinet.

Timers are driven by synchronous motors. Although the contact part of the timer can be cleaned and adjusted on some dryers, this is a job for a professional repair person. Timer motor repairs should also be handled by a professional, but you can replace a faulty timer yourself. Here's how to test and replace a dryer timer:

Step 1: To access the timer, remove the front of the control panel. On some dryers, the timer can be removed without removing the panel. In either case, pull the timer knob off the shaft and slip off the pointer. The pointer is usually keyed to the shaft by two flat surfaces to keep the pointer from slipping when it's turned.
Step 2: Test the timer with a VOM set to the RX1 scale. Turn the timer to the NORMAL DRY setting and disconnect one of the timer power leads. Some timers may have several wires connected to them: The power leads are usually larger than the other wires, and this size difference can be spotted under close examination. Clip one probe of the meter to each timer terminal. If the meter reads zero, the timer is working. If the needle jumps to a high reading, the timer is faulty and should be replaced. Replace the timer with a new one of the same size and type.
Step 3: To replace the timer, have a helper hold the new timer close to the old one, especially if there are several wires to be changed. Disconnect the old wires one at a time, connecting each corresponding new wire as you work, to make sure the connections are properly made. Or, draw a diagram detailing the proper connections. After all the wires are connected, check the connections again for accuracy.

CONDENSATION FORMS ON THE INSIDE OF THE REFRIG ON THE BACK OF THE UNIT AND THEN IT FREEZES. THE DOOR SEALS ARE GOOD AND WE RARELY OPEN THE DOOR FOR MORE THAN A FEW SECONDS. WE HAVE ADJUSTED THE COLD TEMP...

Check and see it there is a power saver/ moisture control switch.
If there is... Switch it back to normal/or what ever the other setting is. (they all have different names for this feature). This will cause the frig to go into de-humidify-ing mode. In the winter you should not have to use this feature, winter has dryer air than summer.
let me know what happens
