Hello,
I have the same problem with vertical coloured lines on my NEC PX-42VP4G/S. The photo only shows a black background just so it's easier to see the lines in the photo but normally the picture is OK except for the vertical lines which aren't always in the same place.
If anyone can advise on exactly what I need to replace then I would be very grateful.
Regards, Simon.

We have a panasonic viera flat screen tv which has developed a vertical blue line that runs down the middle of the screen. any ideas?

sounds like it could be your flyback going out (cost around $70.00) for part if you replace yourself!

A NARROW GREEN LINE HAS APPEARED VERTICALLY DOWN THE SCREEN OF MY PLASMA TV

Hi chrishelps,

Your problem is one of 2 things - either the driver board (normally named as one of the "C" boards) has failed for that sector of the panel or your panel is damaged. If the line goes COMPLETELY across, the plasma panel is bad and is no way to repair it short of replacement - they aren't disassemblable and wouldn't recommend doing so anyway...

Wish I had better news for ya',
