Question about BenQ FP91G+ 19" LCD Monitor

Benq fp91g+ monitor doesnt stay on

Please help
My monitor doesnt stay on.If u push the button the green light comes on for about a second then it goes off again.Can u gve me any advise.
Please let me know @ super.*****@mweb.co.za

    When I turn it on, I see the BenQ logo for a split second then it turns off.

    i have exactly the same issue. when i press the power button the green light comes on for 1sec, the Ben Q screen flashes and then nothing.

It's seems your monitor it *******...Hehehe... Due to busted backlight inverter.
Need to replaced a new one or repaired it.

Its worth fixing...
Its just an issue with the board.
If it happens to be the LCD panel, rather not fix it since its gonna cost u a fortune.

Parts (probably capacitors) in the monitor power supply are failing. My company repairs these for an average of $50.00 + parts + shipping or take it to a local repairman.

Monitor displays breifly then goes to blank screen


The green power light indicates that the monitor is receiving from the computer correctly. I suspect it is going into high voltage shutdown. There is a safety circuit that monitors the high voltage and shuts the monitor down if it sees anything amiss. So the monitor comes on and then shuts off. High voltage problems are generally not worth trying to repair. Another example of a worthless safety feature. High voltage failures are not dangerous, and adding the safety circuit just kills the unit when it may have some life left or worse, sometimes it is the shutdown circuit itself which fails!
