Sounds like the gas valve may be failing .... possibly a small leak in the diaphram of the gas valve...
what your describing i to would start with the thermocoupler and usually that would correct the problem,but if you have done that and it still is shutting off and you are not getting any drafts that would cause the pilot to go out .then i would say the gas valve is your problem and it is intermetent failing....
