My xbox won't read my games and it sometimes says says play dvd but not game it says that on the my xbox then sometimes it show a white screen with many different languages that say something like error must put a xbox 360 game into console to play or whatever it says

hey thats happened to me ive had the worst luck with my xbox i find it does eventually work even if i have to do it 20 times theres no way of fixing it unless you call microsoft

There is probably a defective part causing the problem, you should call Microsoft and can probably get it fixed for free if that is he case.

This problem is caused by your disc drive.... A new disc drive bought off of ebay, generally costs about 50 bucks, including the shipping and handling..... You will need to open your xbox to get the model number... yes, it does matter... Once you get the new disc drive... you need to open up the old disc drive... and you will see a memory chip inside and you will need to be VERY careful not to rip any of the parts it is connected to... once you have the chip out... you will need to take the chip out of the new disc drive, and replace it with the chip from your old disc drive... (each xbox 360 has its own unique memory, which can only otherwise be installed by flashing it through a sata computer which much more complicated than it really should be).... once you put the old chip into the new disc drive... put everything back together... for a tutorial on opening an xbox 360 and also fixing disc drive in your 360... i recommend youtube,,, and the person's name i recommend is "fixyourownxbox" These videos are definitely helpful, and saved me mucho dinero $ :D....
