Open Question

I have a spring loaded tub stopper, Kohler Archer K7272. When you push it down to fill the tub the gasket seems to not stick and the tub won't fill. How do you fix this?!?

Leaking on the floor

I would start at the tube coming off of the fill valve. it often works its way out of the center stand pipe inside the tank. if not i would check the tank to bowl bolts and the gasket in between the tank to bowl.

I can not close my bath tub drain. the plunger is all internal and wont come out either. I tried a coat hanger to push it down. no go.

on most tubs the stopper is made to come out! does the stopper have 2 screws at the stopper lever. if it does just remove these screws and pull the stopper out slowly. when putting in a new one. have the same length as the old one, then slide it back in the drain fairly slow until it goes all the way in. replace screws and try it! good-day!

Tub drain would not work . pulled on metal rod with vicegrips and it opened the eyehook connect it to the stopper. i can get it to grab on the stopper , but not enough to get it out. what can i do?

kohler hooks on to kinda of a coiled spring that you just unscrew, after you take the two screws out of the trip lever keep turning it to the left until it pulls right out.the stopper for the water slides into that spring at the height to make it go up and down with the trip lever,Ive done lots of them but its hard to explain. if not can you get at it in the basement?

I have akohler bath drain that seals/drains simply by pushing down on the gasketed spring-loaded chrome stopper. The drain is clogged with hair but I can not figure out how to remove it and snake the...

Toe tap stoppers remove by just gripping the stopper and unscrewing it. Once the stopper has been removed the hair will be usually caught on the crossbar underneath the stopper where it can be removed with needlenose pliers.
Spring type stoppers for drains are just about as notorious for being hair catchers. Once again there is nothing to stop the hair from leaving the tub.

Kohler bathtub drain seems to be disconnected from control lever. This is the type with the "in bathtub stopper" that raises up and down to let water flow out. The stopper does not move up and down as it...

Okay, remove 2 phillips head screws at lever handle/overflow.

Pull firmly with much effort and bowing the connecting rod a bit.

Up will come a heavy duty spring on the end of the rod.(prolly a big slimly hair ball too!)

Hope you get the spring, cause that's what works the drain stop.

If spring doesn't come out you'll have to "fish" it out.

Clean everything up real good and flush drain good also now.

The "Secret" now is to put the Lever, rod and spring assembly back in and replace screws and get the lever flipped to the left BEFORE you put the Drain Stop in.

Archer tank always running. don't know how to fix

If there is always water running into the toilet bowl, replace the tank ball. That's the stopper at the bottom. If you can lift the float and stop the water, either replace the sealing diaphram at the top of the ballcock (float valve) or replace the whole unit. Some are not repairabe.

New bathtub chipped

You should ask a lawyer for advice on who should fix it, but there are kits available to patch chips like those. You apply it as a liquid and then wet sand it. They are fairly easy to apply, and inexpensive.
