Remove the fuze or switch off the oven circuit breaker in the electrical meter box to make sure power is off.
Remove protective glass cover. It usually unscrews. Even tap with a piece of wood. Unscrew the globe. If globe has broken it still needs to be unscrewed.

Is there a fuse in a fridgidaire electric oven feb24s5ab

To my knowledge there is no replaceable fuse in this oven. The safety fuse device would be your house fuse or breaker. What exactly is you oven problem? If it is completely dead-no light or anything the problem would be with the house supply to the oven. If you have some indicator lights, interior light but no heat, that still indicates a power supply problem but only with have of the power or what is called one side of the 240 volt system. Possibly a bad or loose connection.

Oven light blew and now no power to the oven.

If you are not knowledgable in electricity, call for service.
This is an electrical short at the light, I have seen this before.
The wiring for the light has grounded to the oven. This causes the main fuse to blow. You will need to fix the short first. Then reset the main fuse/replace.
In the case of the wall oven, you may have to remove the oven to fix it properly. Depending on the model and where the short is.

Frigidaire electric wall oven wont open error code f90

Error Code E90 typically means that you have a faulty motor door latch, lock motor assembly, door light switch or a defective EOC. You would need this to be diagnosed by a professional technician in order to properly repair the wall oven.

I want to change the light bulb in the oven,.Mod.no.ZDQ695A can you help me.

I will assume that the ZDQ695 bulb replacement procedure is the same as that for the ZDQ695A. The ZDQ695 uses a 25 W appliance light bulb (300 C). Unplug the appliance before starting. Open the oven and remove the racks for space to work. Insert a flat blade screwdriver between the side of the oven and the glass cover above the bulb. With your hand support the cover and pry it away from the wall of the oven until it releases. Push the top of the cover towards the oven wall and use your fingers to pry the bottom of the cover away from the housing. Then remove the cover. Unscrew the old bulb (counterclockwise) and then remove the bulb. Then screw in the new bulb. Replace the glass cover (position the flange so that it is pointing to the back of the oven) by pushing it into the hole to cover the bulb assembly. Replace the shelves and close the oven door before plugging the oven back in.

Zanussi manuals are available here: http://www.zanussi.co.uk/en-gb/Support/Manuals/ . Enter the model number in the search box. Alternatively, the manual for the ZDQ695 is available here: http://kitchen.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/zanussi/zdq_695.html . Click on the Get This Manual button.

I hope this helps.

The house I've just bought has a Smeg 60 cm wall oven installed. Possibly 4-5 yrs old. I can't get it to work. An orange light comes on on the door panel when the temp control is turned on. Light goes...

Most of these ovens have two fans. A fan forced fan in the oven and a cavity extractor fan inside the cavity of the unit between the outer skin and the oven wall. The cavity fan blows hot cavity air out the front of the unit so it remains cool. If the orange indicator light is coming on this would normally be the oven element thermostat. Leave it on and see if it gets hot. If the light goes off when you select the function switch it means you are turning it off the oven function. Your interior oven light may be blown.
Hope this helps.

I need the bottom heating element in an old westinghouse wall oven. the model # is OG25HXO

I am not certain what geographic region you are in but... Bake elements are often generic between brands. The key is to match up voltage, wattage, size, bends and terminals. Here are 2 pages of westing house elements:

http://www.partselect.com/PartSearchWizard.aspx?Appliance=Range+%2f+Stove+%2f+Oven&Brand=Westinghouse&PartType=Element+or+Burner&Electrical=Yes

I tried searching using OG25HXO with little success even on westinghouse sites US and AU.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

Wall oven will not light

Remove the flame spreader panel to access the ignitor.
Place a clamp on amp meter on the ignitor wire and turn the oven on.
If you read less than 2.9 amps, replace the ignitor.
If you read 2.9 to 3.2 amps replace the gas safety valve.

Oven not working

In this case, I would check the following:
  1. Make sure the oven is receiving power. Turn the power off and on at the circuit breaker.
  2. Pull the oven out of the wall and inspect the control boards. Look for burned areas. The power area could have burned out or the control card probably burned out.
  3. Personally, I think that in this case, the are that the whole computer card will need to be replaced. It runs over 100$ in parts.I think this because it's happened twice to me -- once when we had a power surge in the house, another time when I simply replaced a light bulb in the oven.
I hope you will post back what the actual solution was.

Hotpoint dy46 x oven

Hi there,

Usually with ovens not heating up the element has gone and needs replacing. A few checks to do before going to the expense and trouble of replacing are to check the House Power Box Fuses to make sure none a blown - especially look for the one relating to the Oven or Range. If blown replace the fuse wire. If it blows again you have a problem with the power point or appliance. Does the Oven Fan work? If so chances are the oven is getting power as is the element and your house electrical lines to the Oven are fine and the element needs replacing. Not knowing the particular Brand you have amkes it difficult say how to remove the element. Some elements are accessible from inside the oven - others you have to remove the oven and get access from behind by removing a panel. Whatever you do if you do decide to remove the element MAKE SURE you TURN OFF THE POWER to the Oven. Hope this helps.

Regards
Bryan
