Question about Computers & Internet
I have an acer Travelmate 3200 which all of a sudden says it cant find any available networs to connect to. My desktop pc is connected to the internet so I know the connection is working. I have tried system restore and it has made no difference. Please Help
Had same problem with aspire one and after long time serching got this:
Atheros 802.11a/b/g,b/g Mini-PCI/PCIe Driver v22.214.171.124 for Windows XP
Driver Installer (WinXP) Ver126.96.36.199
WHQL SID = 1240570 Cat Date: 2007/4/13
WinXP Driver Ver188.8.131.52
Try and google it and get exact same version as above and it will be installing atheros ar5006x and that worked perfectly well on my aao.
hope this helps

Aug 23, 2013 | Apple Power Mac G4 Desktop
Locate the Wireless LAN switch located on the front of your Acer Notebook.
Move the switch to the right to turn on Wireless connections.
Right-click the network icon located on the system tray next to the clock.
You should see a list of available wireless networks.
Select the network you want to connect to and click "Connect."
Power on the Acer Aspire laptop.
Right-click the wireless Internet icon in the lower right corner of the desktop.
Select "Enable" from the pull-down menu.
Right-click the wireless icon again.
Select to view all available wireless networks in the area.
Momentarily a window appears with all of the available Wi-Fi networks.
Select the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to, then type in the password (if required).
Click "Connect," and your Acer Aspire computer connects to the Internet.
