Question about Vacuums

1 Answer

My name is Jan Lovelock and my new Breville toaster always over toasts the bread no matter which setting I choose. At this point I have it on the very lowest setting possible (No1) and still it is overdone. Please help. Model No. BTA840. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi

Make sure you are not using "A Bit More" Feature, make sure that this feature is disabled as selecting this feature will automatically increase the toasting time will but will not illuminate more of the LED toasting progress indicator. A BIT MORE™ function can be cancelled by pressing the A BIT MORE™ button again and the original toasting cycle will continue. In case this feature is disabled then its a faulty temperature sensor due to which you are getting burnt/over taosted bread. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

I have/had a similar problem. Here's how I fixed it.
UNPLUG THE TOASTER
1. Clean the crumbs out throughly. I removed the bottom of the toaster (6 screws) to make sure all the debris was removed. Use a soft brush. Replace bottom and tighten screws. 2. Gently brush the sensor area in the 'one slice' slot with a soft brush. 3. Remove 'darker-lighter' knob. I gently pried mine off with a small screwdriver. 4. Plug toaster in. 5. Put a slice of your usual bread in the 'one slice' slot. 6. Watch it toast. 7. When 'done' to your liking slowly rotate the control counter clockwise using a small screwdriver until the toaster stops toasting. 8. Replace knob with the pointer at the mid point (up and down) to allow for minor adjustments.

My toast willl not pop up to retrieve it sits lower than the toaster

I have the same problem with some breads. Mine is also set up for bagels, and the bread goes further into the toaster. When it pops up, it then drops back down just enough where I'm not about to stick my fingers into the darn thing......sound familiar? The only thing that I've found that helps is that, when the toast pops up, and then drops back down, I lift up on the lever that you push down to start the toast, and I can lift the toast up about an inch, and safely remove it. Try this, and see if it works for you.
Best regards, --W/D--

One side of toaste doesn,t heat.

You did not give any description of the toaster so if it is a basic two slice pop-up unit the following applies, the contact operated by the pop up mechanism may not be functioning. The other problem could be that the element on that side has a burnt out winding. You will need to remove the cover in either case - name sure that the toaster is unplugged when you do this

I am wanting to purchase a replacement battery for a Breville Vac Master wet/dry vacuum Model no.BHV7. The battery is 6V, 4.5Ah and the number on the end of the battery is S-051101 Please advise...

There are many model of the 6V/4.5Ah battteries available as you will have to choose the make and warranty period the dealer gives for eacch.
If you can get a 6Ah with the same size to fit inside it will be ideal.
So call your nearest battery dealer to confirm the prices and decide onthe make..

I have Sunbeam 'Radiant Contol' TOASTERMATIC toaster. Must be 40 years old - and only recently stopped toasting. Is there anyone who might fix this - I think the radiant coils have burnt out. I live in...

There could a number of reasons why it has stopped working and depending on the problem it could be a simple fix but generally not. It is after all an old toaster as you realise. On the bottom is a model number AT-35 AT-40 or TA-J. It depends on what part is sentimental as the outside and ends and base can be transferred over to a working mechanism. I have a few of these toasters and think they are just great.
