Question about Garden
There should be a relay and a fuse there also and one of these could be giving you the trouble. when you turn the key to start - check to see if you have 12 volts at the solenoid,, if you do not then trace the line backwards.
also check the positive side of the solenoid and make sure you have 12 volts there.
