Question about Amana Washing Machines
Make sure that the washer is on a solid floor and the machine is levelled (use the levelling screws in the legs and make sure the washer isn't rocking). Also try and distribute the load evenly, if this helps. If it is loud thumping noise that you are still hearing after redistribution of clothes and levelling of screws then it is due to spin bearing or damper issue. There are damper pads(part#8 & 18) glued on the base that the washer assembly sits on, these pads are a "buffer" between the suspension assembly and the base. Check the spin bearing (part#13 & 14) in below schematic---
