You will have to format your memory card in order to erase the old photos. When the memory card is formatted the pictures will be erased. Enter your menu and select the setup sub-menu. Scroll down to format. Follow the instructions in your users manual. If you not longer have your manual you can find it here at this link below. Good Luck.
Raw format pictures can be viewed only using fileviewer software, the Adobe Photoshop CS software program can already read raw file pictures. To change settings just push menu, look for the settings you want to set up. All digicam are user-friendly. If you cannot activate the menu button then your unit has a problem and needs to be serviced.

whatever best you can do is to take the camera to a good repairer as you can't fix the problem by yourself. there may be two possible reasons for the problem. 1) bad image sensor i.e. damaged CCD or 2)shutter blade are not working. the shutter blades may be jammed due to friction are no signal.
