SOURCE: Panasonic television

I had the same problem, however mine was a 32inch. It is a blown fuse. It is not the power cord. What you need to do is find out what fuse voltage you need. Hope this advice helps. I have a panasonic model CT-32SX12C.

SOURCE: Panasonic 32'' TV wont power on

I just received the same model from a neighbour because it too wouldn't power on after suddenly quitting. The T.V. rrepair shops quoted $160.00 to $250.00 to fix the power supply/transformer. All I did was rremove the back and check if the circuit board was actually receiving power from the corsd - it wasn't. I then replaced the plug, plugged it back in and the set works prefectly now. This is a commonm problem with panasonic and certainly does not require the services of a technician, not the exorbatant costs quoted to repair. Simply cut off the plug and replace with a sturdy self sealing/connecting one available at any hardware store for less than $1.00.

Won't turn on

Once you take the back off there is a glass gma fuse withing a few inches of where the power cord plugs into the board at. This should be a 6.3 or 6.5 gma fuse. Very common to blow in your model because the degausing coil is a little to big for it. There are other reasons for it to blow but 99% of the time you change change it and the set will work again. Let me know if you need more help or info!

Power Problem

Josh,
Can you hear any slight ticking noise following he click? It's one of two probabilities, either the HOT or the FBT - - The horizontal output transistor in that unit is a common failure. It uses a 2sc5902, which you can sub to a 2sd2539 or an NTE2353, either will work as well if not better than the original. And it only takes a shop a very short time to do a continuity test acress the E&B (emitter and base pins) on the HOT to determine if it's shorted.
When the HOT shorts the shutdown circuit will pulse, causing a very faint ticking sound, cycling in it's attempt to power the unit.
If you're going to have a shop do call around and ask what they charge to replace the HOT like you know what you're doing...
Let me know how it turns out..

Buzzing sound, no picture on my Panasonic TV

You might have a short causing the set not to start. Probably in the horizontal/high voltage circuit. The buzzing sound that you're hearing is the power supply overloaded. Stargazer
