Not all devices support the use of itunes when it comes to putting songs on them.
This is one of those devices that does not support itunes. Depending on your type, you are either required to download another specific media player to copy songs to your media player or you may just need to copy and paste in the drive like you would do on any external device.
To know if you need any media player in particular, you can go through your manual and see if it specifies the need for any media player.
Hope this solution was of use to you? Please comment for more information and thank you for using the fixya website.

Itunes will not recognize my polaroid pmp350-4 music player. Can't save my music I bought on itunes.

For Windows folks, try iTunes Agent which you can get at CNET Download.

If you don't have the latest .NET framework for Windows, you'll get an error, so go to Microsoft.com and get the latest version and install it.

Once you have iTunes agent up and running it will prompt you to configure it. If you've never used it before, just say no. You're indicating you don't have a previous profile you need to transfer. If all goes well, iTunes will launch and a pop-up will tell you iTunes Agent is ready to sync your devices.

To add a new device, make sure it's connected to your computer, then right click on the iTunes Agent icon in the system tray and choose preferences.

Press New. You'll get a warning letting you know that the first time you sync, all the data on the new device will be erased. So, be sure you have everything off the device before you go ahead.

Then fill out the fields, naming your device, and so on. Point the folder to the place on the new device where you want the music to go. You can choose particular playlists to associate with this device. Once you're done, press save.

To sync, right click on iTunes Agent and select synchronise devices.

Your selected songs will now be synced to the device

    "Second"

Setting up "iTunes Agent" to recognize your player:

It's real easy, after you've installed "iTunes Agent" it'll be on your "Desktop"....."Left Click" it.

It'll now be in your "System Tray"... navigate to your "System Tray" and "Right Click" on the little "iTunes Agent" icon, click "Preferences..." , click the "New" button and set-up your configuration, fill in the fields that need to be set-up in order for your player to be recognized by "iTunes Agent".

Follow the steps from the "iTunes Agent" pic I provided.

    "Third"

Your "Music Folder" field specifies where your music will be saved on your player, you could name this folder to anything you like example: "BigA2infinity's Jamz Folder" or if you like to have your player set up just like an iPod and save your files in separate folders i.e. 90' Music, Music Videos, My Top Rated, Recently Added, Recently Played, Top 25 Most Played.

Or you could just leave the "Music Folder" field blank and have your music saved to the "ROOT" of your player example: "Removable F: drive" .

In order for your player to be recognized, it must be recognized by a specific name.... in the "Recognize by folder/file" field type in a specific name, example: "BigA's Mp3 Player 2009" .

So basically every folder name you've created in "iTunes Agent" set-up, make an extra folder with the same name in the "ROOT" of your player.

Example #1: My music will be save in "BigA2infinity's Jamz Folder" on my player/mp3.

Example #2: Just like an iPod, in order for an iPod to be recognized it needs a specific name in the "ROOT" of the iPod.... so create a folder in the "ROOT" of your player to recognize your none iPod/iPod-knock-Off/PSP/Mp3 Player, I created a folder named "BigA's Mp3 Player 2009" in the "ROOT" of my player/Mp3/PSP/iPod Knock-Off so it could be recognized.

Follow the steps from the "iTunes Agent" pic I provided (same pic from Step 2).

    "Fourth" and last step....

The very last field in set-up is the "Associate with playlist" you could set this option to recognize any playlist you like, if you would like a playlist created with the name of your player set the option to "Use device name" .

    font.f1 {font: 12.0px Times} font.f1 {font: 12.0px Times} Hello and thanks for contacting FixYa Technical Support.

font.f1 {font: 12.0px Times} • In order to import music into your iPod. All you need to do is:

font.f1 {font: 12.0px Times} • First make sure you have downloaded your music into the iTunes Library.
font.f1 {font: 12.0px Times} •Then from the iTunes menu bar, click on File>New Playlist in order to create a new playlist.

You will see a new "untitled playlist" Folder, on the right side bar in the iTunes window. Name that folder as you see fit.

Now take all of your music that you want to add to the new playlist, from the iTunes Library and drag all those songs into the playlist.

    * From here, you will need make sure your iPod is connected to your computer and that the device is showing up in iTunes.

Once you see the iPod connected, go into its settings and select the Music tab, make sure to activate the Playlists and select that new playlist from the list of playlists you see.
(Make sure if you have other playlists in that list you want to add, be sure to check off those boxes too)

    * Finally when you have selected that playlist (and all your desired playlists) that you want to import into your iPod:

    * Proceed to sync your iPod

    * Once the sync process is completed, you should see the playlist you made with your desired songs from your iTunes Library, now on your iPod Nano.

    I hope this helps.

Playlists & thousand songs dissappeared from itunes

if you synch it yes it will wipe it out - you can get software to back your ipod back to your computer so I would personally delete all the play lists and re do it. your music will be in my documents --> music --> itunes so you can re add it that way and re sort the playlists.

If its on mac os then it will be under your music folder ( macintosh hd --> users --> your username --> music --> iTunes

It may be that your itunes library file may have gotten corrupted so once you have gotten it sorted out close down itunes and go back into your music folder and itunes folder and make a backup copy of your itunes library files.

Assuming your not moving your music files around in side of the music or itunes folder it should be fine.

    Down load music from computer

if its an ipod you need to download itunes from itunes.com if not then you can prob use windows media player. if you cant figure out how to put music in these shells then you need to search for all you music which you can do in the search icon in start. then click on search for music. then drag all that music in you my music folder or make a folder of your own and highlight all the music you want and drag it to the specified folder. when all the music is in the folder drag the folder onto the itunes or windows media icon and the music will be routed to the music player. from the simply make a playlist or sync all to put the music onto your mp3 player. its the best i could do considering you didnt specify what kind of mp3 player it is.

    Putting music into music folder

All audio shows up under ringtunes, unfortunately. Don't get your hopes up, though; just because it's on the ringtunes list doesn't mean you can use it for one. Ringtunes must be a certain size and filetype for them to work.
It's unusual for music not to show up in the music folder. Make sure you're using the music player in the phone, and not the proprietary network one.
I've never had my music show up in one place and not the other. Usually, it's two.
There's actually a shortcut to getting to the phone's music player. Beside the battery logo, there's a small box with a picture of two windows diagonal to eachother. Touch this. It'll bring up a small list; the first two are internet and Music Player. Hit music player. Done.

How do i download my own songs to the ipod

download the latest version of itunes from here
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
    Then install the program.
Copy your music over to itunes either by copying your CD's or importing your music that you already have on your computer, you can do this by going to File>add folder to library or add file to library and go to where your music is and import. This will convert your music to be played in itunes and to be recognised by your ipod. Once you have done this, create a playlist of music that you want on your ipod. Go to File>new playlist. and rename the playlist to a name more suitable. Then select which songs you want on your ipod by righ-clicking the song and send to playlist, select the playlist that you just created. Once you have your playlist and are happy that you have all of the songs that you want, plug your ipod into the computer, itunes will pick the ipod up and load the necessary drivers for it. You will notice a little picture of your ipod on the left hand side of the screen, click on it then click on and update your ipod with your playlist.

    I hope this helps

IVE JUST BOUGHT A LAPTOP,IVE GOT MY ITUNES ON IT AND IT WONT LET ME COPY ANY OF MY MUSIC ONTO DISC.

are you trying to copy music onto a cd disk or onto your ipod. If you are trying to copy music onto your ipod, you will have to clear the ipod of the music that was loaded onto it previously, because it will not detect your new settings on your laptop. An easy way to do this is copy over your itunes music folder onto cd/dvd from your old computer and paste the music into your itunes music folder on your laptop. When you open itunes go to file, import file, and choose your itunes music folder. (If it hasn't aready automatically picked the music up). This will put all of your music back into the itunes library. You will then need to create another playlist for your ipod. Reset your ipod in itunes mode and upload your new playlist onto it. If you have vista on your laptop then you may need to download the lastest version of itunes. You can do that by going here> http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

    Itunes and pilot

The whole point of the Pilot is to avoid the tether to iTunes. I'm not sure you can really sync with iTunes but you can easily copy your music to the player. The path in Windows to the iTunes music library is usually under the My Music directory under iTunes\iTunes Music. I created a folder on the Pilot named iTunes Music and copied all the folders under the iTunes Music folder on my laptop to the Pilot folder. Playlists are also supported but if you create the playlist file in iTunes you may need to convert it to m3u format. You will also want to go into the settings and set the USB mode to File & Folder.
