This phone does not charge and won't turn on, charger and batt were tested in another phone and both work fine, I also tested this L6 with a different battery with no success, charging screen comes on and stays on for about 5 or 10 seconds but then it shuts off and come back on, it does that all night and then it won't work, battery was testd ok at 1.4 volts, any tips on how to resolve it? thanks.
I solved the problem for my L6. IT appears that somehow the phone is software dependent. Meaning that you need to have the Motorola Software for the phone installed in your computer, connect the phone and voila! At least it solved my problem. All of a sudden it charged automatically and I can now charge with the power adapters too. (Yes I too went and bought a different charger, then when it didn;t worked I got a different battery..etc.) just give it a try. I think you can get it for free online somehow, just google it.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Have you attempted taking the battery out and while the battery is out holding down the power button for a few seconds? If this doesn't work, First test your charger to ensure proper charging. Clean charging ports. Remove battery and clean brass contacts with alcohol and q-tip
Let it charge for a good 6 hours before reaching any conclusions.
If it does not work for real, you are stuck since you are now without a charger and unable to identify if it is the phone itself. sorry to say this. i think you will have to buy another charger, the fact that it fits another phone should not be a problem. Is it making full contact with your phone when plugged in? that connection there might be the problem.
The obvious here is, is the battery charged? Does your charger have an indicator light that comes on when plugged into the phone? Try to use your USB cable, connect it to your computer and then your phone. It should charge unless your battery is wasted. I would first ensure your charger is actually charging the battery. If that seems to be working, then check your battery to ensure it's good ( take it to your local phone store, they'll be able to tell you ). If the battery is bad, replace it. If the charger's bad, replace it. If neither is the problem, your phone would need to go to a repair shop. You can contact us for a repair estimate.
Cell phone batteries are only good for about 300 charges then they go kaput. Take your charger to the store and try it there likely just a bad battery. Or a faulty charger, they will be able to tell you at US Cellular they have test equipment that they can check the battery and the charger and the phone charging circuit, I've never been charged for that service.
if charger voltage is ok then it could be phones charging controler is not working. if phonebook is only thing you need could recharge battery directly from your charger and then save your phone book. cut off charging plug-connector from your charger make two bare wires and then apply red wire to battery "+" and blck to "-". 5min of charging will be enough to copy your data
