Motorola L6 Phone not charging or working

This phone does not charge and won't turn on, charger and batt were tested in another phone and both work fine, I also tested this L6 with a different battery with no success, charging screen comes on and stays on for about 5 or 10 seconds but then it shuts off and come back on, it does that all night and then it won't work, battery was testd ok at 1.4 volts, any tips on how to resolve it? thanks.

    OMG YES. ITS SOOOOOO ANNOYING.

and i bought six different chargers and none of them work.

and it just charges for two seconds then shuts off.

and when it actually does charge, it just says low battery for like eight hours and ends up being dead.

Hmm.. Well, for me I had the phone under storage for a year or so and I thought it just needed a battery recharge, but it wouldn't charge up even after leaving it charging via usb and wall charger for hours and even overnight. So I bought a new battery, which happened to be fully charged and the "AHA!" moment came after I noticed the bars going down even though the phone was attached correctly to the charger...and then I was sad :( Please help!

You can count me in on this problem too!  I bought 2 different batteries thinking (ok hoping) it was the battery, then I bought 2 new chargers...and alas my L6 is no longer playing nice.

Well,

I solved the problem for my L6. IT appears that somehow the phone is software dependent. Meaning that you need to have the Motorola Software for the phone installed in your computer, connect the phone and voila! At least it solved my problem. All of a sudden it charged automatically and I can now charge with the power adapters too. (Yes I too went and bought a different charger, then when it didn;t worked I got a different battery..etc.) just give it a try. I think you can get it for free online somehow, just google it.

Have you attempted taking the battery out and while the battery is out holding down the power button for a few seconds? If this doesn't work,
First test your charger to ensure proper charging. Clean charging ports. Remove battery and clean brass contacts with alcohol and q-tip

Charger problem

Let it charge for a good 6 hours before reaching any conclusions.
If it does not work for real, you are stuck since you are now without a charger and unable to identify if it is the phone itself. sorry to say this. i think you will have to buy another charger, the fact that it fits another phone should not be a problem. Is it making full contact with your phone when plugged in? that connection there might be the problem.

Batt will not charge, i bought a new one and it not charge up either. plays dvd just fine what is going on?

Hello,

That simply shows the fault is not from the battery.

Have you checked if the charger is working fine?, first check if the charger is working fine by testing it on another lasonic pdl305 portable dvd player to see if it is working.

If it does not work then you have to replace the charger.

The next thing to check is the charging port, to test this, try to use a tested ok charger on it to see if it works.

If it does not, then you can tell it is the charging port that has a problem. All you have to do is replace the charging port.

That is How you detect the fault and fix it.

Take care

Motorola l6 does not start up or switches on

The obvious here is, is the battery charged? Does your charger have an indicator light that comes on when plugged into the phone? Try to use your USB cable, connect it to your computer and then your phone. It should charge unless your battery is wasted. I would first ensure your charger is actually charging the battery. If that seems to be working, then check your battery to ensure it's good ( take it to your local phone store, they'll be able to tell you ). If the battery is bad, replace it. If the charger's bad, replace it. If neither is the problem, your phone would need to go to a repair shop. You can contact us for a repair estimate.

Battery will not get any charge

Cell phone batteries are only good for about 300 charges then they go kaput. Take your charger to the store and try it there likely just a bad battery. Or a faulty charger, they will be able to tell you at US Cellular they have test equipment that they can check the battery and the charger and the phone charging circuit, I've never been charged for that service.

No power, all buttons flash when connected to ac charger

if charger voltage is ok then it could be phones charging controler is not working. if phonebook is only thing you need could recharge battery directly from your charger and then save your phone book. cut off charging plug-connector from your charger make two bare wires and then apply red wire to battery "+" and blck to "-". 5min of charging will be enough to copy your data
