lights up when booting then nothing

  • Sheldon M Sep 21, 2008

Keyboard will not work. No lights, nothing. the on screen keyboard will work. Can't get it to go to BIOS even with the keyboard unpluged.

Also, NO keyboard error shows up even when the keyboard is not plugged in.

Epia-ME6000G when i apply power i get a beeping and i have no video output throught the VGA.

Hello, the beeping is actually a fault code, ie short beep, long beep etc, a bit like morse code. You can get a list of what these codes mean if you google 'bios beep codes' . It means your bios has detected a basic error with the hardware and is trying to tell you what's wrong! It could be anything from memory gone bad to faulty graphics card or keyboad error, you'll have to look at the list and try to equate the codes to what you're hearing from your system. Try removing the USB receiver, even though the mouse is still working, and re-insert it. We want to prompt the receiver to reconnect with both devices.

If the keyboard still fails to connect see if it has a button to manually connect... the button may be tiny.
