Scratchy noise

my name is gabriel. i live in south africa.idrive a volvos40 2.4i.my problem is that every time i turn right slowly as if to park my car at a mall my car makes a scratchy some what grinding noise. but while driving on the road it doesnt make that noise. its not the power stearing fluad because i have checked.please help
